Program Description:

This one-day conference is intended to update the advanced practice nurse with topics of interest to current practice. Leading edge topics such Technologically-Enhanced Health Promotion, preventive medicine, and updates on a variety of topics will be covered. The morning session carries 3.3 CEUs.

Optional intensive sessions will include basic suturing and wound care, joint and soft tissue injections, and 12-lead EKG interpretation. Each afternoon session carries another 3 CEUs.

Course Objectives:
  • To provide current clinical information to enhance the knowledge and skills of the practice of APRNs in family, acute, adult and women's health practices.
  • To increase education in order to provide evidence-based and patient centered care in order to promote positive outcomes within the healthcare environment.
  • To identify new pharmacologic & nonpharmacologic treatment options for NP practice.
  • To provide hands on skills enhancement for advanced practice settings.
  • To provide a forum for local APRN networking.
