ACTION NEEDED: Last DAY to SUPPORT the VA Proposed Rule

Posted over 7 years ago by Peggy Ostrander

THIS TAKES ABOUT 30 SECONDS TO COMPLETE:

Last Day to Support the VA Proposed Rule
The public comment period closes tonight, July 25, at midnight (EST). AANP members are urged to lend their support for the VA's proposal to grant patients receiving care in VA facilities direct access to NPs and other APRNs for their health care. This proposed rule would authorize NPs to practice to the top of their education and preparation without physician supervision in all areas except the prescribing of controlled drugs, which remains under the authority of the Federal Controlled Substances Act.

AANP thanks the many of you have already weighed in, and as of today, our Advocacy Center has logged over 12,000 comments to the Federal Register. We ask that you make one final push for advocacy and encourage your colleagues to submit comments to the VA by using our Advocacy Center. Urge your colleagues to personalize their statements. The best way to support our veterans' access to care and move this proposal forward is your individual engagement. Please make your voice count, and submit your personalized support comment today!
