Your vote, your voice
Elections have an effect on healthcare policy at the local, state, and federal levels, and policy decisions affect healthcare funding, operations, and the health of our patients and our practice.
Below are important dates and information related to voter registration.
Important dates
- Monday, Feb. 5: Last day to register to vote in the Primary election
- Tuesday, Feb. 20 – Friday, March 2: Early voting (you may vote at any early voting location in your county of registration)
- Tuesday, March 6: Primary election (you must vote in your precinct on Election Day)
- Tuesday, Oct. 9: Last day to register to vote in the Midterm election
- Monday, Oct. 22 – Friday, Nov. 2: Early voting (you may vote at any early voting location in your county of registration)
- Tuesday, Nov. 6: Midterm election (you must vote in your precinct on Election Day)
Voter registration application
- In person: At your County Elections Administrator/Voter Registrar (www.sos.state.tx.us/elections/voter/votregduties.shtml)
- Online/mail: Access an application (https://webservices.sos.state.tx.us/vrapp/index.asp)
- You must fill out, submit, print, sign and mail to your County Elections Administrator/Voter Registrar
- After you apply, a voter registration certificate (your proof of registration) will be mailed to you within 30 days.
