Nurse-owned practices - CALL FOR ACTION

Posted about 11 years ago by Robert Metzger

This is a call to action for NTNP to send letters to the Dallas Morning News editor supporting the article linked below.  This is a fine example of how NP owned clinics are providing care and opening up new access points in spite of the limits imposed by current regulations.  The focus of the letters should be to commend NP owners for their good work and the services they provide.  We need to flood the DMN with these letters ASAP so hopefully we can fill their letters section this Sunday.  Here is the link to the DMN where folks can find the rules and send a quick letter.  http://www.dallasnews.com/opinion/send-a-letter

Here is the article on nurse-owned practices, clinics trying to get a foothold in Texas Lawmakers are considering a bill to give specially trained nurses more autonomy from their physician supervisors. http://www.dallasnews.com/news/local-news/20130320-nurse-owned-practices-clinics-trying-to-get-a-foothold-in-texas.ece
