APRN CALL TO ACTION BEFORE NOON TODAY!!

Posted about 3 years ago by Peggy Ostrander

Today is a crucial day for Texas Nurse Practitioners.

The House Public Health Committee will hear House Bill 2029 today, which will remove outdated, unnecessary mandates requiring APRNs to have a contract with a physician in order to care for patients.

The bill's opponents are untilizing significant resource to lobby against this important bill.

We need every voice we have to speak up in support of this bill.  Please take a few moments to submit supporting  comments for HB 2029 prior to NOON TODAY!

Suggested supporting comment for TNP members to submit:

I am writing today in support of HB 2029.  Millions of Texans live in health care shortage areas, and APRNs can help.  But first, the state needs to remove the delegation mandate, just like 31 states, the V.A. all branches of the military, and the District of Columbia already have.

Please support more access and more options for Texas patients and support HB 2029.
