Proposed Bylaws changes

This announcement has 1 attachment:

Our bylaws call for an evaluation and/or update annually.  The executive committee completed this earlier in the year and submitted the ideas to our membership in the August meeting where we met as a business meeting.

Please review the proposed changes.  The yellow highlighted, cross outs are to be deleted.  The red are to be added.  The buylaws as they stand now are available on the website.

Some of the changes, such as deleting dollar amounts of awards, are to allow for budgetary fluctuations with our fundraising as discussed in the August meeting.  These amounts will be addressed each year in the budgeting process, as well as in a new document that we are working on called "Standing Rules" that will assist us in issues that may be more subject to change, such as petty cash, limits on spending before taking a vote, traditions,  etc.

We are alos breaking out community outreach from philanthropy, as well as adding an advocacy chair that will work together with our TNP liason.

Thank you for taking the time to read over this.  They will be discussed and voted on at the next meeting.

See you then,

Lesa Walker, NTNP President
