Now is the time to Join Texas Nurse Practitioners, our state organization.

TNP is about to reach our record membership goal for this year.  We are short only 90 members from reaching our 3000 member goal by our conference on September 4-7.

Remember that TNP assists you in many ways, which are all listed below, such as advocating for your profession by lobbying our legislators, providing access to educational opportunities both online and at various conferences throughout the year, and through providing excellent resources through their membership website.

Membership Provides:

Educational Opportunities: Fall and Spring conferences that provide type I continuing education and pharmacological credits.

Financial Rewards: Reduced rates for conferences, accidental death coverage, local affiliate rebate for mutual members and reduced rate for AANP membership.

Resource: Co-publisher of the APRN Guide for Practice, sample Prescriptive Authority Agreement, "members only" website and quarterly newsletter.

Legislative/Public Policy: Texas Nurse Practitioners and our lobby team places high priority in supporting the profession at the state level. Legislative updates are continually provided through networking with Texas Nurse Practitioners. Representation instate and national arenas for legislation and practice issues (CNAP, AANP, TNA,  Board of Nursing Committee on Advanced Practice).

Leadership Opportunities: TNP Members are eligible to participate in our Preceptor Program as well as on TNP Committees, Task forces and Board.

Charitable Foundation: Texas Nurse Practitioner Foundation: TNPF was organized exclusively for charitable, educational, and scientific purposes. Scholarships/grants from donations may be awarded to the following: Registered nurses pursuing further education to become nurse practitioners. Nurse Practitioners pursuing an advanced degree. Nurse Practitioners proposing or engaged in research which is relevant to advanced nursing practice.Community projects promoting and improving access to health care for all Texans. Membership Dues:

Regular Member: $125.00 - All graduates from a nurse practitioner program. Regular members shall pay annual dues, may vote, hold elected or appointed office and serve on committees.

Student Member: $60.00 - A registered nurse currently enrolled in a NP program. Student members shall pay dues, may have a voice in discussions, and may serve as non-elected committee chairs or members but may not vote or serve as officers.

First Year NP Student Member: Free - A registered nurse currently enrolled in the first year of a NP program is eligible for free membership. To take advantage of this opportunity, please click here.

Retired Member: $75.00 - A nurse practitioner who has retired from active practice. Retired members shall pay annual dues, may vote, hold elected or appointed office and serve on committees.

Associate Member: $110.00 - A licensed nurse who is interested in promoting and supporting the purposes and goals of TNP. Associate members shall pay dues, may have a voice in discussions and serve as committee members but may not vote or serve as officers.

Without NPs actively joining their state professional organization and standing up for their right to practice and provide care to their patients, their ability to practice could change with just the swipe of a pen.

Membership is only .34¢ per day or $2.40 per week, which is significantly less than a cup of coffee and protects your career.
